A-12 Blackbird Declassified
Authors Jeannette Remak and Joseph Ventolo Jr. have written “ A-12 Declassified”, the first definitive book on the Lockheed A-12 Blackbird. While the A-12 has been mentioned in many of the SR-71 books that are out there, there has never been a source of A-12 information as complete in one place before. The book describes the aircraft and the programs in detail. Much of this information has been through the efforts of FOIA’s via the CIA. The process has taken close to 10 years to compile. Joseph Ventolo Jr. is the former Curator (retired) of the USAF Museum He has spent nearly 37 years with the USAF dealing in history and the preservation of valuable military archival material. He is also the co- author of the book “XB-70 Valkyrie - The Ride to Valhalla”. Jeannette Remak is the former Aircraft Historian( ret) at the USS Intrepid Museum. She has worked on the restoration of the A-12 on Intrepid for nearly 6 years, and continues to fight for the preservation of CIA Article #122, tail number 60-6925, Intrepid’s aquistion. She has a Master’s degree in Aviation Mechanics and is co-author of the book "XB-70 Valkyrie—The Ride to Valhalla." She is now working on her third book, "The OXCART Story".
